Day 8 - 11 March

Wednesday Blues,
Same usual lifestyle of daily 9am to 5pm of lesson is truly boring, today was special Mr Chua let us go off to rest for the weekend trip, thus i used the time to go 鲁汉广场 with Jit Siong

We took their mini-van there with the local population, their mini-van is like taxi to the local population, it's like a shared taxi thus is cheaper and more attractive to the locals. But it's does take trust to reach your destination safely as you would have to trust the diver to drive safely and bring you to your destination rather than to some unknown place and rob you. It's the first time i was being so close with the China peoples, i board the mini-van outside school as bus 903 came quite slow, there is already three China man in the van which wants to go to 鲁汉 thus it's just 2 Yuan for the both of us and we boarded it. Half way on the journey the driver pick up a lady passenger and the driver charge her 3 Yuan, after she found out the diver had only charged us for 2 Yuan she flare up and quarrels with the driver over 1 Yuan, to the China peoples every Yuan counts as they values every Yuan they could save or earn from you which I would experience it later in the day. They talk so fast during the quarrels that i couldn't really catches much of it but i did heard that them using so much Chinese idioms just like those senior Chinese lesson in Singapore would do when they talk to your parents.

Got a Dakine bag for SGD 40 and we found a Adventure shop call TraceBoard it's just like Campus corner or Adventurer21, they sells a China brand paclite gore-tex outer shell for 1000RMB which is so much cheaper than the one I'm wearing, but the design is too Chinese for me. Jit Siong join their life time membership program and they gave us a Outdoor magazine which is in Chinese.

Taking bus 903 back to the campus was another challenge as the China peoples would just rush up the pack moving bus and in the bus we have to protect our belongs as there are pickpockets in the bus as China is the land of opportunity and there is tons of opportunity thieves. There is so much body contact that make me feels violated.

we found a quality restaurant as compared to other China food, it's so oily that it makes Carls Jr look fat free, and so salty that makes salted fish taste bland. It's called NanYang FishBall Restaurant. we spend a total of 100 Yuan which is about SGD 2.30 for the dinner, as the owner shave off 9 Yuan so that she could attract us to go next time. I learned that in China you cannot call a lady 小姐 or 小妹 it's like calling them prositutes, we must refer to lady as 女士 or waitress as 服务人员.

Having this dinner made me reminds of Singapore having dinner with the usual
After dinner we went to the Night Market next to it, although there is only four stalls but i'm astonished to see outdoor billiards

The amount of rubbish in China is terrible, the streets are like the China man rubbish bins.
